Most hosts either register the free domain in the company name or retain administrative control over the domain, and they can use that control as leverage to keep you tied to their hosting (see My Story). The one year hosting package costs $7.95 per month. Thus you save considerable money by going with the two year plan at $6.95. They have a 30 day money back guaranty if you are not satisfied, but it is extremely unlikely that you would be dissatisfied with this host. HostMonster is a major player in the hosting field. Several calls to their sales and tech service people while pre-qualifying their hosting service were answered within a minute or two on hold. Our experience since hosting with them has proven that this is usual and typical. They pride themselves in providing first rate service. And tech service speaks English! They do not outsource their technical service. On the Negative Side In perusing the forums on web hosting we found virtually every one to be positive on HostMonster hosting (e.g. see http://www.blogtoplist.com/internet/blogdetails-11741-2.html).
